Monthly & Yearly Programme

How can I know what is happening at St Lawrence?

We've made a plan outlining what's on at St Lawrence during 2010. This is great for planning ahead. You will also find a snapshot of the current month.

If you would like to find out more please follow the links below.

Join us at St Lawrence Vicarage on the following Wednesday evenings 7.45pm for 8pm.

DENS Socks

Socks please!
For February we will be asking for donations of Socks for Dens so why not bring a pair on February 7th and put in the box!

Swine 'Flu

On Thursday July 23rd there was a news item saying that the Archbishops of Canterbury and York are recommending that churches do not use the Common Cup at holy communion until the swine 'flu pandemic has passed. We will be following the official advice and offering bread only to communicants for the time being. We are keen to be both sensible and sensitive in our response to this pandemic.

Children's Services at St Lawrence

Lots of people expect children to sit down and be quiet in church, but not here at St Lawrence. We know that it’s in the nature of children to make noise and to run about, so we have created a service that lets them be children. Family Praise is for 0-5’s and starts at 9:30 on a Sunday morning in the church building. This is a fantastic place for children to come along and find out about God at an early age and our hope is that they will carry on finding out more about God throughout their lives.

WANTED—helpers for Mark Wilson

To make this project as successful as possible we need some keen people who will commit to a couple of hours a week at various times (tbc) until Mark is in a position to recruit his own or renew the commitment of those
identified already. You will need to be CRB checked. If you have any questions or indeed feel you can offer support to Mark for this most important development within our Church then please speak to Tim.
